Understand Yourself. Work Better with Others.
Great teamwork starts with self-awareness. Understand how you prefer to work. Then, recognise how your colleagues’ preferences differ from yours. When you grasp how both approaches bring unique value, collaboration becomes easier and your contribution becomes more impactful.
Discover your work preferences and learn how to bring your best to every team.
Your Experience
You have probably experienced these team frustrations:
- Colleagues who work in ways that seem inefficient or confusing
- Meetings where you feel unheard or misunderstood
- Tasks assigned to you that drain your energy and leave you exhausted at the end of the day
- Disagreements with teammates despite everyone having good intentions
- Uncertainty about how to communicate with one of your colleagues
- Feeling like you are not contributing your best work
- Frustration when others do not value what you bring to the team
The problem is that teams rarely have a shared positive language for understanding different work styles and how to make them work together.
How TMS Global Helps You
Discover Your Work Preferences
The Team Management Profile (TMP) shows how you naturally prefer to approach work. It doesn’t look at your personality or put you in a box, but gives you practical insights about how you contribute, communicate and collaborate.
Understand Your Colleagues
When your whole team completes TMP, you will understand why your colleagues approach work differently and how this can contribute to the strength of your team.
Communicate More Effectively
Learn to adapt your communication for different work styles. Know who needs detail, who wants the big picture, who prefers time to reflect, who needs the data and who wants to move quickly.
Find Your Zone
Understand which tasks energise you and which drain you. Have informed conversations with your manager about work allocation that plays to your strengths and job crafting.
Navigate Change and Uncertainty
QO2 shows how you respond to uncertainty, complexity and risk. Understanding your own opportunity/obstacle orientation helps you manage your reactions and contribute positively during decision-making and transitions.
Align Your Values
WoWV helps you understand what you truly value at work. When your work aligns with your values, engagement and satisfaction increase.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this like a personality test?
It is similar, but the focus is different. TMS Global gives you awareness of work preferences. That means it looks at how you approach work, without looking at your fixed personality traits. Your preferences can develop and adapt to different situations. With our assessments you will get practical insights, suggestions for growth areas, tips for better collaboration with others, awareness of blind spots and strengths.
How long does the assessment take?
The Team Management Profile takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete online. Other assessments vary but are similarly accessible.
Will my results be shared with my manager?
TMS Global is committed to high ethical standards and maintaining the confidentiality of your assessment results. The facilitator conducting your session will review your profile with you privately. Let your facilitator know if you do not wish to have your profile shared with anyone else – including your manager.
Assessment is designed to be a tool for your personal development and self-awareness. For the assessment to be most valuable, you need to feel safe answering honestly without concern that your responses will be used against you in performance evaluations or other employment decisions.
While you control whether results are shared, many participants find value in discussing relevant insights with their managers as part of development conversations. This is entirely your choice and should be done in a way that supports your growth and career goals.
If your organisation is using TMP assessments, they may receive aggregate, anonymised data for organisational development purposes, but individual results remain confidential unless you consent to sharing them.
If you have concerns about how your results might be used in your specific organisational context, we encourage you to discuss these with your facilitator or HR representative before completing the assessment.
What if I do not like my results?
There are no good or bad profiles. Every work preference has strengths. TMS Global Profiles don’t measure ability, intelligence, or competence—they identify your natural work preferences.
All preference patterns have inherent strengths and potential blind spots. What matters most is self-awareness and knowing how to leverage your natural strengths.
Your debriefing session with a trained facilitator is specifically designed to help you:
- Understand the nuances of your profile
- Identify the strengths within your preference pattern
- Recognise how your preferences show up in real work situations
- Develop strategies for situations that require you to flex outside your natural style
- Appreciate how your unique combination of preferences adds value to teams
Effective teams need people with different work preferences. What might feel like a limitation in one context is often exactly what’s needed in another. The goal is to understand yourself better so you can work more effectively and find greater satisfaction in your career.
Can this help my career?
Yes, understanding your work preferences helps you make better career decisions, communicate your strengths and find roles that energise rather than drain you.
